Your monthly budget
Indicative only, based on the 30% to 50% reductions debt counsellors commonly report. Not financial advice and not a guarantee. Under debt review you cannot take new credit until it is completed. Only an NCR-registered debt counsellor can assess your situation.

Debt review — common questions
How many South Africans are over-indebted?
According to the National Credit Regulator, about 10.54 million of South Africa's 29.24 million credit-active consumers (36%) are over-indebted and in arrears.
How much can debt review reduce my repayments?
Debt counsellors commonly report reductions of 30% to 50% in monthly repayments after restructuring, but the outcome depends on your debts, income and what credit providers agree to.
What are the downsides of debt review?
While you are under debt review you cannot take on new credit, the process takes years to complete, and counsellor and legal fees are included in your restructured repayment. It is designed for people who genuinely cannot meet their current repayments.
